Volunteering

We need your help next time! The Carnival Project

requires 110 volunteers for it to run successfully so if

you are keen to get involved contact us through the

website in early 2010

Please click 'contact us' and let us know which of the following areas you

would like to volunteer in along with your return email address and phone

number.

Pre event: Help with delivering flyers, workshop preparation, publicity, phone calls, fund-raising.

Making and creating: Help with making costumes and decorations for the carnival weekend.

Carnival weekend volunteer: Help with setting up, manning stalls, road marshal, performance coordinator, carnival procession leader, collecting buckets, dismantling, security.

Performer: I am afraid we are unable to pay performers however if you are a performer who would like to come for free then please get in touch.

Local Charities: Let us know if you would like a FREE stall to fund-raise for your charity on carnival sunday.

Local Businesses and crafts people: If you would like to exhibit, let us know the type of stall you would like to bring and we'll forward you the booking details.

Artists: We are always on the look out for new artists to join our team, please send a brief summary of your work and how you think you may want to get involved.

Wearable Arts Fashion Show:

! Art! Movement! Music! Choreography! Lights!

Design, create and model your own 'wearable art' and take to the catwalk at the Saturday Funk Room
Saturday 12th July, 7pm

Staveley Village Hall

Places limited to 15 entries/groups

Rehearsals take place on Saturday 12th July in the afternoon.

A rehearsal slot must be booked and can be arranged once your entry is confirmed.

Entries marked for artistic impression, choreography, effort and uniqueness.

Workshops:

Take your pick! If you would like to join any of the workshop programmes then just turn up on the first night. As all the workshops aim at a performance it is important that you can attend the full 8 week programme.
